Etchegoncelay, Miguel
Miguel Etchegoncelay (Córdoba, Argentina, 1970), studied trumpet, composition and conducting in his home country, as well as in Italy, Switzerland and France, where he lives since 2002.
He also holds a masters degree in Politics and Cultural Management from the Institute of Political Studies at the University of Strasbourg.
Among his teacher were Franco Cesarini, Felix Hauswirth, Jan Cober, Eugene Corporon and Tim Reynish.
He appears regularly as guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator in France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, The Netherlands and Slovenia, as well as in South America and the United States.
Some of the his most significant collaborations are Aulos Blasorchester, Musique de Landwehr de Fribourg (Switzerland); World Youth Wind Orchestra Project (Austria); Banda de Lalín, Banda de Jóvenes de la Provincia de Aragón (Spain); UPOL University Winds (Slovenia); Rovereto Wind Orchestra, Banda della Federazione di Udine (Italy); Orchestre National de Jeunes de France, Orchestre Philarmonique de Strasbourg, Orchestre de Mulhouse Brass, Grand Ensemble de Cuivres d’Alsace GECA Brass (France); Banda Sinfónica de Córdoba (Argentina); Duke University Wind Ensemble, Syracuse University Wind Ensemble (USA).
As guest professor, he has taught at the MidEurope Festival (Austria); Bundesakademie Trossingen, Landesverband der Musikschulen Baden-Württenbergs (Germany); Conseil Départamental pour la Musique et la Culture CDMC68, Fédération Musicale de Franche-Conté, Association Departementale d’Information et d’actions musicales et choreographiques du Bas-Rhin, ADIAM67, Confederation Musicale de France CMF (France); Istituto Superiore Europeo Bandistico ISEB (Italy); Festival Musiques en Terres de Crüilla (Spain).
He has been adjudicator at contests such as Concorso Internazionale de Riva del Garda (Italy), Fête Fédérale Suisse (Switzerland); Deutsches Musik Fest (Germany); International Wind Band Contest Festival MidEurope (Austria); Consurso de La Sénia (Spain) and the World Music Contest of Kerkrade (The Netherlands).
Miguel Etchegoncelay teaches orchestral conducting at the Conservatoire de Musique de Strasbourg and the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin (HEAR), where he is in charge of the Wind Ensemble Program; he also conducts regularly, other projects such as Symphony Orchestra, Contemporary Ensemble, Stage Productions, Brass or Percussion Ensembles.
Star Music Publishing publishes his works, since 2015.
