Zeh, Michael
Michael Zeh was born on March 19th, 1979 in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany.
He received music lessons as a child. After a short time he took part in the recorder group of the music school Bietigheim-Bissingen and already recognized his love for orchestral music.
With an age of 11 years Michael Zeh took tenor horn lessons and became a member of the music school’s orchestra. With an age of 16 years he also took piano lessons and at an age of 18 he entered the Stadtkapelle Markgröningen as a player.
Later he worked there as an instrumental teacher and also as the assistant conductor. After graduating high school, Michael Zeh studied music education at the State Academy of Music in Stuttgart and also graduated as a qualified music educator for trombone. He spent several semesters for orchestration with David Kenneth Mason, as well as history at the University of Stuttgart. He has been working as a music educator at various music schools since 2003. From 2000 to 2005 Michael Zeh was a member of Landesblasorchester Baden-Württemberg.
In addition, he is involved in the brass section of Bläserjugend Ludwigsburg and also teaches the D courses. Since a lot of years Michael Zeh conducts different community bands. He composed many works for chamber, choir and wind bands.
