Beschreibung

His last march of the war, composed in 1848, was the “Jaszian-Cumenian Schythers’ March” written for this battalion. It is possible to date the genesis of the march as June to July of 1848. The Jaszian-Cumenian National Guard assembled at Halas on July 15, 1848, and reached the camp at Verbasz on July 18, 1848. Müller used the themes of Gyorgy Csaszar’s opera “The Cumenians” for this last march, which was published in August 1848.
